Welcome to Princetown Community Primary School

Welcome to our school website, we hope you enjoy visiting and finding out more about life in our friendly village school.

Princetown Primary School is a local authority community school and a full member of the Tavistock Cooperative Learning Trust 'learning without limits.'  We have a lovely historic building, constructed in 1863, which over the years has been updated to provide spacious and modern accommodation for our children.

The children enjoy learning through stimulating topic themes that link subjects and inspire an 'active learning' approach.  We promote a healthy life style and the children have the opportunity to participate in and enjoy a wide range of activities.

Princetown is a caring and inclusive school and we encourage parents and the local community to get involved in school life.

If you would like to arrange a visit please contact Mrs Dutton in the school office.

After school clubs

In response to feedback from parents the school has revised our attending school clubs policy and procedures for the arrangements at the end of the school day. The policy was adopted by the Governoring body on the 7.10.15.  Parents must inform the school if your child will not be attending the club they are booked in for.  This can not be a verbal messge via your child.

Internet safety

Internet safety is an important part of our daily lives. Most children use the Internet on a regular basis as part of their learning and also as a form of entertainment and communication both at home and in school, we have regular ‘e-safety’ activities to teach children about the importance of keeping themselves safe online.
As part of our e-safety policy we ask parents to complete the 'Online Safety Acceptable Use Agreement' with their child at home.
